Stainless steel fittings – category overview

In the Fittings category, you will find installation components made of stainless, acid-resistant, and heat-resistant steel: including seamless elbows, forged flanges, and concentric seamless reducers. The offered products are designed for connecting and shaping piping systems in sanitary, process, and industrial applications. Our shop specializes exclusively in corrosion- and heat-resistant steels – we do not trade in aluminum or carbon steel.

What are elbows, forged flanges, and concentric reducers?

Seamless elbows are pipe fitting components used to change the direction of a line (e.g., 45°, 90°). They are manufactured without a weld, which provides better resistance to pressure and corrosion compared to welded elements.

Forged flanges are piping connectors made through forging or machining, used to create detachable connections between pipes, valves, and equipment. Forged flanges are characterized by higher mechanical strength than flanges formed from sheet metal.

Concentric seamless reducers allow for a reduction in pipe diameter while maintaining the same center line of the pipeline – they are used where a smooth change of cross-sections is required without shifting the pipe axis.

Applications and industries

Stainless steel fitting components are used in a wide spectrum of industries, including:

  • food and pharmaceutical industry – sanitarily clean (hygienic) installations,
  • chemical and petrochemical industry – process installations resistant to aggressive media,
  • marine and offshore industry – installations exposed to saltwater,
  • automotive and motorcycle sector – exhaust systems and temperature-resistant components,
  • heating, boiler installations, and power engineering – where temperature resistance and material fatigue matter,
  • construction and sanitary installations – water, sewage, and ventilation systems,
  • small workshops and garages – repairs and modifications of installations, craftsmanship.

Materials – what steel grades do we use?

Our offer includes components made of various types of stainless, acid-resistant, and heat-resistant steel. Below are the most common grades, their colloquial terms, and popular equivalents:

  • Stainless steel 304– (EN 1.4301, AISI 304, X5CrNi18-10). A universal corrosion-resistant steel under standard conditions, easy to process – often used in food and construction installations.
  • Acid-resistant steel 316L– (EN 1.4404, AISI 316L, X2CrNiMo17-12-2). Better corrosion resistance in the presence of chloride ions and chemicals – common in the chemical, marine, and pharmaceutical industries.
  • Heat-resistant steels (e.g., 310S)– (EN 1.4845, AISI 310S). Heat-resistant steels used where components are exposed to elevated temperatures and oxidation.
  • Ferritic steels and others– e.g., grades like 430 (EN 1.4016, AISI 430) used where different mechanical properties and corrosion resistance are required.

The choice of steel grade depends on the working environment: presence of chlorides, temperature, pressure, hygienic requirements, and compatibility with the installation materials.

How to use these components and what to look for when choosing?

  • Working environment: if the installation comes into contact with seawater or aggressive chemicals, consider 316L or other grades resistant to corrosion in such conditions.
  • Temperature and pressure: for high-temperature applications, heat-resistant steels are chosen; for pressure installations, the type of connection (seamless, forged) and the mechanical parameters of the element are crucial.
  • Joining method: seamless elements reduce the risk of weak weld points; forged flanges provide higher strength for detachable connections.
  • Standards and compliance: for industrial projects, pay attention to the compliance of elements with standards and customer requirements (e.g., European standards/DIN/EN and customer specifications).
  • Surface finish: for the food and pharmaceutical industries, a smooth internal and external finish (e.g., polished surfaces) is important, facilitating cleaning and preventing the accumulation of contaminants.

Why choose fittings from our store?

We offer a wide selection of corrosion- and temperature-resistant steel components, available “off the shelf” in our warehouse. If you cannot find a specific size or grade – contact us; we help in material selection and fulfill special orders. We provide professional technical advice, information on steel grades (EN / AISI), and support in selecting elements for a specific installation.

Steel Sheets by steel grade

Pick a grade to see only steel sheets in that material – with the full list of sizes and a description of the steel. The number next to each grade is the count of items in stock.

Acid-resistant

Austenitic with molybdenum – resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion; for chemicals, processing and chloride environments.

Austenitic stainless

Chromium-nickel without molybdenum – the standard choice for structures, food service and interiors.

Heat-resistant

Higher chromium and silicon – retain strength and scaling resistance at high temperatures.

Ferritic

Chromium without nickel – cheaper, magnetic, good where atmospheric corrosion resistance matters.
